Paragraph 1 (Purpose) The purpose of this policy is to provide principles on the operation of Korean language programs at KLCC.
Paragraph 2 (Programs)
① Korean language programs at KLCC consist of the regular program and special programs.

Paragraph 3 (Program Duration)
① The duration of the regular program is one year and six months (6 terms).
② The duration for completing level one through level 6 of the regular program is one year and six months. The period may extend for students going on to the Advance Research Class.

Paragraph 4 (Program Structure and Class Hours)
① Each term of the regular program runs for ten weeks (200 hours).
② Classes may consist of lectures and cultural activities.
③ Class hours for the regular program is from 9:00am to 1:00pm for morning classes, and from 1:30pm to 5:30pm for afternoon classes, although they may change where necessary.
④ Class hours for special programs can change where necessary.

Paragraph 7 (Application Fee)
① Those who lodge an initial application for a KLCC program should pay the application fee. Those who re-apply within one year from their completion of study at KLCC are exempted from the application fee.

① Those who have submitted a complete application package and paid fees by the published due date are granted an admission, based on the assessment of their application.

Paragraph 9 (Orientation and Placement Test)

Paragraph 10 (Enrollment and Attendance) All students must complete the enrollment process in due period of time to be able to attend classes.
Paragraph 11 (Completion of Enrollment) Enrollment is completed when the student has paid tuition in full and registered for all classes.
Paragraph 12 (Re-enrollment) Re-enrollment is due by the last day of the following month from the start of the term.
Re-enrollment requests beyond the due date, although not accepted in principle, may be accepted where the reason is deemed legitimate and there is a spot left due to cancellation.

Paragraph 13 (Leave of Absence) Leave of Absence is not permitted in principle.

3. Students who engaged in paid work or other activities unauthorized by the school

Paragraph 15 (Dropout) Those who wish to drop out from the program must submit a written and signed request to obtain an approval from the director of IFLS.
Paragraph 16 (Refund for Expulsion/Dropout) No refund of tuition is granted to those expelled under Paragraph 14 or those who drop out under Paragraph 15 above.
Paragraph 17 (Re-Admission of Those Expelled) Re-admission is not granted to those expelled.

Paragraph 18 (Completion) Students must attend at least 80% of all classes, score 50 or higher marks in each subject, and achieve average 70 or higher marks overall in order to complete the term.

① Those who complete one level may advance to the next level.
② If a student has failed but wishes to advance to the next level, or if a student wishes to skip a level, approval may be granted through separate exams.

Paragraph 20 (Graduation)
① Those who have completed two or more consecutive terms including level 6 are entitled to graduation.

Paragraph 21 (Examination Structure) Examination of each term consists of mid-term exams, final exams, and weekly exams.
Paragraph 22 (Failure to Take Exams) Students must take all exams. If a student is unable to take exams due to sickness or other inevitable circumstances, prescribed marks may be given based on the assessment of the written explanation and relevant documents (e.g. doctor's statement) submitted by the student.

① Those who failed the term but with an average score of 60 or higher and with a track record of two or less previous failures may retake the exam, provided they submit a written request and pay an additional fee.

Paragraph 25 (Assessment Components) Assessment is based on class participation as well as results from all exams.
Paragraph 26 (Grading Scale) Below is the grading scale on the basis of 100 points.

Paragraph 27 (Absence due to Sickness) If a student is unable to attend classes due to urgent medical treatment, the absence may be excused for up to two weeks based on the doctor's statement submitted by the student.
Paragraph 28 (Absence due to Important Family Occasions) If a student is unable to attend classes due to important occasions involving immediate family members (parents, siblings, and grandparents), the absence may be excused for up to one week based on relevant documents submitted by the student.

Paragraph 29 (Scholarship) Selected students with outstanding academic performance and with exemplary behaviors are awarded with a scholarship letter and a scholarship in a prescribed amount.

① The most outstanding student award is granted to the student with the highest GPA.
② The outstanding student award is granted to those who achieved an A or a higher grade in all subjects.
③ The full-attendance award is granted to those who attended all classes of a term.

Paragraph 31 (Deferrals)
① After completing the enrollment process, a student can apply for a one-term deferral before the first day of class, if circumstances demand.
② The deferral will be granted for one term only. If the student does not enroll in the next term, his or her application will be voided and the tuition will not be refunded.

① After completing the enrollment process, a student can withdraw, if circumstances demand, by submitting a written request along with the letter of admission, enrollment certificate, and tuition payment receipt.
